Patient Aftercare

Since Lipo-Dissolve is a non-surgical procedure, very little after care is needed. Most patients can return to normal business or social activities immediately which has given rise to the name “lunch hour-Lipo.”

After treatment almost all patients will experience swelling, redness, itching and mild to moderate pain and tenderness at the treatment site. These symptoms are usually well tolerated in most individuals and will last 2 – 7 days. Some patients develop bruising at the treatment site and while it is of some cosmetic concern this will clear in one to two weeks time.

Patients should avoid hot baths and should shower for a few days after treatment.

Mild exercise is permitted as tolerated immediately after treatment based on comfort. Exercise can resume in 48 – 72 hours. Sometimes, patients feel more comfortable with minor compression garments or an ace wrap, at the treatment site but this is optional in most cases.
